Bagpiper & Celebrant Prices

You’ll find my prices below for wedding and funeral piping, Burns Suppers, events, and wedding and vows renewal celebrant services, along with details of what’s included.

My fees are for booking directly with me, with no agency fees or commission added. Both my wedding and vows renewal celebrant fees also include me as your bagpiper at your ceremony, at no extra charge.

Travel expenses are explained below, and any additional costs will be agreed with you before you book.

Wedding Ceremony +
Wedding Breakfast

For both parts of your wedding day.

Up to five hours.

One part of your
wedding day

Your ceremony OR your wedding breakfast.

For one part of your day only.

Both packages include Piper’s No.1 Full Highland Dress, Highland Pipes and Scottish Small Pipes, and availability for photographs.

Exact playing times and arrangements will be agreed with you before your wedding.

Funeral service only

£150

Piping at a cremation or burial service, or at the interment or scattering of ashes.

Family home &
funeral service

£200

Piping as the funeral cortege arrives at the family home.

Followed by piping at the funeral service.

Playing times and music will be agreed with you to fit your funeral arrangements. Both options include Scottish Small Pipes during reflection, if required.

An additional charge may apply if piping is required at both the funeral service and the procession to the graveside and burial.

Burns Supper:
Piping + Address

£200

Piping for your guests’ arrival and piping in the haggis.

Includes my recital of Burns’ Address to a Haggis.

Burns Supper:
Piping only

Piping for your guests’ arrival and piping the haggis in and out.

For when someone else will deliver the Address.

Events &
functions

For dinners, corporate events, tour groups, birthdays and other occasions.

Up to two hours.

All options include Piper’s No.1 Full Highland Dress. Playing times and arrangements will be agreed with you to suit your occasion.

For events requiring piping for only a short period, the fee may be lower. Please get in touch with your date, location and requirements.

Wedding Celebrant

£550

Your personal wedding ceremony, written and officiated by me.

Includes me as your ceremony bagpiper.

Vows Renewal Celebrant

£500

Your personal vows renewal ceremony, written and officiated by me.

Includes me as your ceremony bagpiper.

Both services include an initial Zoom call, a detailed ceremony proposal and individual questionnaires to help me tell your story. Your choice of Scottish traditions, including handfasting, oathing stones and a quaich ceremony, is included at no extra charge.

The bagpipes can welcome you, accompany your processional and bring your ceremony to a Scottish conclusion. A wedding or vows renewal certificate is also available.

If you would like me to provide your handfasting ribbons, these cost £45. Wedding ceremonies are symbolic, with the legal formalities arranged separately.

Travel expenses

Travel expenses do not apply when your location is within approximately 30 minutes of Edinburgh.

For locations farther away, travel is charged at £0.45 per mile when the total return journey exceeds 30 miles.
